Some people believe amen is just the word that closes a prayer. I have learned it is much bigger than that. Amen is agreement. It is the sound of a soul deciding to side with hope.

When life is heavy, the last thing many of us feel like doing is agreeing with hope. The report is not all good. The bank account is not all full. The door has not opened yet. But I want to remind you of something today: amen is not a response to perfection. It is a response to promise.

Say amen to the morning you woke up to. Say amen to the body that carried you here, even tired. Say amen to the friend who checked on you, and amen to the God who did not check out. Gratitude does not deny the hard things. It just refuses to let the hard things have the last word.

And say amen before the answer arrives. That is what faith sounds like. Not a shout in the celebration, but a whisper in the waiting. When you say amen to what has been promised, you are not pretending. You are agreeing that the story is not finished.

So today, right where you are, find one thing worth agreeing with and say it out loud. Let amen be your smallest sermon and your strongest stance. Say amen today, and watch what the agreement does to your posture, your peace, and your patience.

One more thing. Say amen over somebody else today too. Speak agreement over your children, your friends, and the people whose prayers have gone quiet. There is power in being the voice that stands in agreement with another person's promise. That is encouragement at its purest.

If this spoke to you, share it with somebody who needs the reminder. Leave a comment and tell me what you are saying amen to today. And subscribe so we can keep taking this journey together. Your voice matters here. #PatrickTCooper #BeEncouraged
