There is something about a Saturday morning in West Palm Beach that makes you want to slow down. No agenda. No rushing from one appointment to the next. Just good food, a little sunshine and the opportunity to start the weekend exactly the way you want.
For me, that meant breakfast at Aioli, and it turned out to be the perfect backdrop for easing into the weekend.
As I make my way back into the world of travel, food, culture and storytelling, I am reminded that sometimes you do not have to get on a plane to discover something worth writing about. Sometimes the story is right in your own backyard.
Aioli has the kind of neighborhood energy that makes breakfast feel like an experience rather than simply a meal. The setting is relaxed, the food is thoughtful and the pastry case is dangerous in the very best way.
And then came the hardest decision of the morning: dessert.
I couldn't decide which one I wanted, so I picked several.
Why choose one when Saturday morning gives you permission to indulge?
That little moment actually reminded me of something I have always loved about travel and storytelling. The best experiences are rarely about following a checklist. They are about being curious, trying something unexpected and allowing yourself to experience a place on your own terms.
That is exactly how I intend to approach this next chapter of The Fashioner.
I am back.
Back to traveling. Back to discovering. Back to sitting across from people and hearing their stories. Back to exploring destinations through food, fashion, culture, design and the people who make a place memorable.
And most importantly, I am back to telling those stories from my point of view.
I am Patrick T. Cooper, The Fashioner, and this is just the beginning.
For now, I'll start with breakfast.
And yes, I would order all those desserts again.
