Joy is not something you wait for. It is something you run toward.
I have spent seasons waiting for the right moment to feel light again, and I have learned that joy rarely arrives on schedule. It shows up when you decide to move. When you stop treating happiness like a reward for finishing and start treating it like fuel for the road ahead.
This is your invitation to run toward it. Not away from your problems, but toward the life you are actually building. Joy is not denial. It is defiance. It is the decision to keep your heart open even when the world gives you every reason to close it.
I have learned that the fastest way to change my day is to change my direction. When I point myself toward gratitude, toward hope, toward the people and the work that make me feel alive, everything shifts. Not overnight. Not perfectly. But it shifts.
So lace up. Take the first step. Let the wind hit your face and remember what it feels like to move with purpose instead of standing still with fear. You are allowed to be happy on the way to where you are going.
If this spoke to you, I would love for you to join me on the journey. Follow me on all of my social media platforms so we can keep encouraging one another. Like, share, and subscribe to this blog so you never miss the next word, and leave a comment to tell me what you are running toward.
Wherever today takes you, choose joy. Chase it. Build your life around it.
Keep going. Keep growing. And above all, #BeEncouraged.
