There is a version of getting dressed that plays it safe. One print. One color story. Everything matched and predictable. I do not live there anymore. On a recent day trip through West Palm Beach and Palm Beach, I found myself standing in front of a mural spelling out the very place I was exploring, arms wide open, dressed in a floral shirt and short set that had no interest in restraint. That is the point. Fashion should feel like joy, not a formula. My rule for the day, and honestly for most days now, is simple. Never be afraid of print and pattern. Then take it one step further. In Palm Beach especially, where the light is bright and the energy leans playful, I say mix pattern with pattern. Stripes with polka dots. Florals with anything that dares to sit next to them. The goal is not coordination. The goal is confidence. This is part of a bigger shift for me as I reemerge into more travel and more storytelling. New cities. New walls to pose in front of. New perspectives on what it means to dress unapologetically. If you are tired of seeing the same safe outfit repeated in every closet, consider this your permission slip. Wear the print. Then wear another one on top of it. Do it because it makes you feel fabulous, and do it without apology.
