Labor Day weekend is here, and before the cookouts, the gatherings, and the last days of summer carry you away, I want to wish everyone who follows the PTC brand a truly restful holiday. This weekend belongs to you.
We live in a world that celebrates hustle and constant motion. Many of us have spent the whole year building, creating, serving, and showing up for the people around us. Labor Day reminds us that work is honorable, but it also reminds us that the people behind the work need care too.
Rest is not a reward you have to earn after finishing everything. It is a necessary act of care for the vision, the gifts, and the purpose you carry. Even God rested, and the world kept turning.
So this weekend, I am giving you permission. Close the laptop. Put the phone down for an afternoon. Sit on the porch. Take the long way home. Sleep in. Laugh with the people you love. Let yourself rest.
When Tuesday comes, the work will still be there, and you will meet it with fresh eyes and renewed strength. But right now, the most productive thing you can do is be fully present in this weekend.
To every creative, every entrepreneur, every dreamer, and every encourager who walks this journey with me: thank you for your labor. Thank you for the way you show up. Now let yourself rest.
