The mistakes and the falls will shape your next approach. That is not a comfort phrase. That is how success is actually built.
We love the finished version of a story. The award, the launch, the comeback. But ask anyone who has built something real, and they will tell you the same thing. Their success was carved by failure. Each misstep taught them something that comfort never could.
Failure is a teacher, but you have to let it teach the right lesson. The wrong lesson is I am not good enough, so I should stop. The right lesson is that approach did not work, so now I know something I did not know before. Same event. Completely different future.
Look back at your own record. The conversation that went badly taught you how to communicate with more care. The project that failed taught you what to respect before you promise. The season that humbled you taught you what actually matters. You did not enjoy any of it, and you would not trade the education. That is the point.
So do not fear the next fall. Respect it, learn from it, and let it adjust your aim. When you treat failure as data instead of a verdict, you become very hard to stop. Every setback is quietly refining your judgment, sharpening your decisions, and preparing you for a level you could not have handled before.
Success is not the absence of falls. It is the accumulation of everything the falls taught you, finally standing up straight. Keep going. Your next approach is already better than your last one.
